help, i think my tree is on fire

Here is part deux of my ode to fall post. this is the tree right across the street from my apartment. it only took two days for him to become completely naked. good thing i caught him still clothed in all his glory! (ps...not a single one of these were altered through editing :)

orange to red

while uploading some more-so recent shots, i forgot about these two stragglers. a set of 5 year old twins live in my apartment building and with the aid of their dad carved out these babies. the twins relentlessly will stick their heads of out their bedroom windows and yell to whoever happens to pass underneath it. this makes for some very loud and exciting saturday afternoons.

now, just across the street, winter is being celebrated instead of fall. these berries look like they are pinning for christmas-- don't they seem festive? not so fast. it's still fall and i do NOT want snow! not yet!
the berries photos have not been doctored. they are just pretty by themselves :)(this one used a flash)

(these berries are all doom and gloom)

too sweet to be dirty

Ok, so now I'm in full fledged christmas shopping mode. I'm trying to hold myself back from putting up decorations, but T-giving is only 2 weeks away! wooo foooood! and excessive amounts of it!!!
Anyway, i was scouring anthropologie online for some mom and sister gifts and i found these. problem is that i wouldnt want to use them for fear of dirtying them. kind of against the function of a dish towel isnt it? HA. either way they are beautiful!!!

yes, my friends those are indeed hedgehogs. sigh. all prices range from $18-24. sweeeeet.

Bon Anniversaire!

Leeetle seester is turning another year older today!

(She is turning 20, today....yikes!), wait, let's see if I can find a photo. yes, she is going to kill me. well, she's a beauty and there's no hiding it!

(this is her and the infamous jiminy, our parrot)

Happy Birthday sis!!!
I was planning a surprise bday party for her, but my mom forgot to tell me that seester wouldn't even be around for her birthday. She's being a good girl and going on a retreat for one of the many activities groups she's involved in. She makes me look bad.
Anyway, I lift a glass to you, sis, a future EMT (and maybe model haha!). Love you, kiddo!

i'll take them all, thanks

So, I am currently obsessed with the owls, Bob and Terry from Where the Wild Things Are. I almost peed my pants watching them sqwak and chit chat with each other. Despite having no idea what they were saying (most of the time) I thoroughly enjoyed every second of Bob and Terry's performance.

After blabbing to a co-worker about how adorable they were, she found me this.

want. need. love. good god.

clinging to fall

I leave you wtih these pretty fall photos. I do so because it is rumored we will see more snow in Boston this weekend. Please no. please no.
i found these leafy, wiry, blazing red plants creeping in and out of a stone wall on the side of an apple orchard. they were practically screaming at me to take their photo.

Anyway, I'm off to new york, actually, to visit the twin. i relish every second i get to spend down there. so, stay warm and have a great weekend!

happy tooth

Yes, that's right. My dentist's office sent this to me. They might have stopped giving me stickers and bubble gum flavored flouride, but at least I still get a silly Tooth cartoon flying reminding me of my upcoming painful appt. woopi!

did i mention that my dentist is located in the North End (of Boston)? which is the epicenter of all delicious italian food and pastries? and did i also mention that right next door to the dental office is one of Boston's most famed pastry shops...Modern Pastry? oh, uh huh, yup. poor me :p

bean town style

Oh! This excites me! I was going to apologize for my past couple of blog posts as sounding rather sexual...but no need really. they are ;)

Makes me proud! I also love that I can recognize the backdrops for many of the photos :)

weee Boston love!

(This lovely lady manages the Savant Project, currently where one of my girlfriends has her art showing :)

too cool for school (maybe)

ok, now i really wish i was a kid again. sure sure-- the carefree days riding my bike around my ghetto neighborhood and having no clue how ghetto it really was...or...really believing all the fibs my parents told me....that the guy with the white beard and red corvette driving around our street was really Santa Claus keeping an eye on us. uhhh, right.
anyway, as for being a kid now--- you get to dress in Stella McCartney!!! And not insanely priced, untouchable Stella, but Stella at the GAP!!!

yes, holy cow.
she is the coolest!

and don't these kids just exude cool too? so young! im so not cool....sigh.

as for this little man-- is it ok to say i want to kidnap him? and by kidnap i mean that in the friendliest, non pedophile way...

and should we even talk about the cutsy, fuzzy animals in the campaign? i fear i might squeal....or steal them...what is this clepto in me? gah!
